After doing a bit of research, we were going to go with wiltshire horn sheep for our property, but have found a slightly different breed that will do just as well. Wiltipoll sheep have exactly the same characteristics and eating qualities as wiltshire horns, except they have had the horns (polls) bred out of them. 4 lamb ewes and one 1 1/2yr old ram on order. We have purchased from a registered breeder just west of Geelong, and will register our ones as well in the very near future. Before we part with our small fortune, (they are not cheap as the meat quality is A grade!!!!) we will go and check them out next week. Will take some photos as well. Very exciting stuff indeed!
